Summer Solstice & Cancer Season

The Sun enters the Water sign of Cancer on June 21st, which also coincides with the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere (Winter in the Southern Hemisphere). Cancer is the first Water sign, rules the fourth house of home and family, the unconscious past, and the Moon is the yin sign's ruling planet. What do You want to emotionally nurture so that it will grow? This is the internal world of our feelings. The Solstice occurrence marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. A time when our Galaxy Star seems to stand still. This pause serves to increase our ability to tune into the vibrational frequencies that recharge us. The Galactic energies are more easily accessible, allowing needed comfort to come in from the Celestial realms. Especially those of our ancestors.

The other luminary, our Moon, will be in the Sun-ruled sign of Leo during this Solstice, creating a mutual receptivity of sorts. Along with Lady Luna, our personal planets Mars and Venus, as well as the infamous Black Moon Lilith, are all transiting in the regal sign of Leo. This planetary Fire stellium coupled with the sensitive Water sign of Cancer indicates that part of our needed nurturing is honoring our own sovereign power by creating necessary boundaries.
