MARS leaves retrograde-The emotionally driven Warrior

Mars, our Yang personal planet of passion and physicality is finally stationing direct on February 24th at 17° of Cancer. This shift marks the ending of a 10-week cycle of review that began on December 7th when Mars stationed retrograde at 6° of Leo and began its journey back into the sensitive Water sign of Cancer. We have all been experiencing unprecedented emotional intensity in the areas of our chart occupied by Cancer and Leo. We have all been personally slowed down to the point that we could have felt like we were drowning at times during this phase. Now our head will be above water, we can take a deep breath and prepare to regain our momentum and move forward on all that has been revealed.

The meat of the matter during this uncharacteristically slow movement of Mars between Cancer and Leo that began on September 4th of 2024 and will conclude on June 17th of 2025, is being provided by a six-month ongoing opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. This rare aspect will occur three times before its totality can be actualized. The first opposition to Pluto was on November 3rd of 2024 while moving direct, the second opposition occurred on January 3rd of 2025 while Mars was moving in retrograde, and the third and final opposition will conclude on April 26th while Mars moving forward ingresses into the initiatory Fire sign of Aries. Pluto in this opposition to Mars has forced us to acknowledge our unconscious self. We have reckoned with the intensity of our desires that have been buried under layers of fear, emotional patterns of our past, and even family themes reaching all the way back to our childhood. Starting on the 23rd, we will potentially be prepared to move beyond these previously unpressed feelings with an empowered singularity of purpose. The goal is to move forward, creating from a place of greater awareness. To take action from a healthy ego identity with a greater self-awareness. And ultimately, to move forward with a newfound sense of maturity and sovereignty. What are the emotionally driven desires that we now dare to pursue?

Mars now represents our activated inner warrior. The one that has dealt with his internal control issues. That has realized how our psyche may have projected our subconscious fears onto others. What has our internal shadow shown us regarding the polarity between our ego will and the collective narrative where we all operate in a shared story? Pluto is the higher octave of Mars and they are the ancient and modern rulers of Scorpio, so these internal waters run deep and hold the power to resurrect a spark of new life. Where is our power in a world out of our control as societal reality is radically reshaped? The key is to remain true to our own passions, as we prepare to activate them in a collective co-creation. The higher purpose of the painful obstacles we have been swimming through for the last 10 weeks served to propel us into our next empowered hero's journey of sorts; ready and willing to initiate our next vision quest.
