JUPITER RETROGRADE: A review of what's true for You

(I am just now posting this article because I am in the Helene flood area in Western North Carolina and my Internet signal is still not completely stable. In true Jupiter fashion, which is like a Mercury retrograde on steroids because of its placement in Gemini, I dictated a rough draft, wrote my entire article, lost signal, lost my content, and had to rewrite everything from scratch. Stay malleable.!)

Prepare to embrace your inner philosopher as "The Great Benefic" Jupiter begins its annual retrograde on October 9th at 21° of Gemini. Jupiter ingressed into Gemini on May 25th of this year and will retrograde from the ninth through February 4th of 2025. The Gas Giant will then station direct and then enter the sign of Cancer on June 9th of 2025. Consider the next five months a period of unlearning and releasing what we have always believed to be our own highest personal truth.

Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius and together they govern the 9th house of the astrological wheel. Its attributes are that of luck, abundance, growth, optimism, and the perfecting of information. Jupiter magnifies all that it touches, so we can certainly enjoy a much-needed reprieve from this transit in Gemini thus far. A placement where the chatter has been off the chain! We can review the relevance of what is being communicated. Just because it is true for someone else doesn't mean it has to be true for us.

Historically, Jupiter retrograde can also bring a beautiful new awareness of things we never knew, personally and collectively. By reviewing connections, community, our brothers and sisters, and those we consider brothers and sisters, we can reassess our tribe. Are they truly aligned with our growth mindset? If not, are we ready to receive those who are? This deep examination was prompted by Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, just as Jupiter was preparing to pivot. Mercury in Libra created an Air trine to Jupiter in Gemini that was perfected on the 8th as Jupiter stood still. As a result of this aspect, an increased flow of communication and exaggerated information came pouring in. Now the seeking of truth becomes internal.

The ability to access palpable prosperity may not feel as available during this retrograde phase, however, with Jupiter being the higher octave of Venus "The Lower Benefic" we can reexamine what is and is not truly of value as we peer into the rearview mirror. How have your values changed with the lunar South Node of our karmic past currently moving through the Air sign of Libra? We can also slow our jets on plans and projects that have been feeling frenetic. We can take this time to review the big picture so that come February we can course correct based on the revelations provided from this retrograde. We can then decide what our higher spiritual heart desires in connections moving forward. This should feel liberating.

On October 12th, a newly retrograde Jupiter creates a supportive sextile to Chiron in Aries at 21°, revealing how much we have moved beyond our disempowered insecurities, and healed our internal wounding. This is especially highlighted with the lunar North Node of our destined future moving through Aries also. By the 14th, Jupiter creates a stellar Air trine to the Sun in Libra. An uninterrupted flow of information regarding relationships will be illuminated; have eyes to see. What does a harmoniously balanced partnership look like? Are we able to experience independent sovereignty and solid sacred union simultaneously? What do you believe is a healthy relationship? Are you willing to change your mindset regarding these beliefs? This aspect, infusing us with the brightness of our galaxy star, can increase our confidence regarding the possibility of harmonious relationships coming in.

Jupiter retrograde is a blessing, a five-month opportunity to re-examine our long-held beliefs, convictions, and where we thought we were an expert. A humbling yet necessary opportunity to discover more of the wisdom within. To access the untapped knowledge suppressed in the caverns of our own psyche. To revamp and rewrite what living in liberation according to our own higher truth could look like.
