JUNE ASTRO-A Giant in Gemini
Welcome to June! This one will be BIG! The massive gas giant Jupiter has just arrived in the Mutable Air sign of Gemini. Real talk anyone? Jupiter, the ninth house ruler of our higher spiritual truth, serves to magnify our mercurial minds for the next 12 months, and it's off to a rapid start. Gemini archetypes are set on exploration; discussing all the differences and exploring all the opinions. Jupiter is more concerned with the totality of truth. The last time this liberating transit occurred was in 2012. Pluto was in Capricorn then and interestingly, Pluto will make its final retrograde into Capricorn (in our lifetime) during this Jupiter transit.
In addition, Mercury will be moving into its home sign of Gemini. We will have a Venus and a Mercury Cazimi with the Sun, a mushy Cancer New Moon, a powerful Capricorn Full Moon, Summer Solstice marking the midpoint of the year. Then we end the month with Saturn stationing retrograde in Pisces. (Neptune will also station retrograde in Pisces on July 2nd) After a very fixed and perhaps stale Taurus Season, this elemental shift from Earth to Air rapidly ushers in a much-needed breath of fresh energy. Mutable means movable.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury and they govern the third house of communication, cognitive skills, and community close to home. As well as those we consider brothers and sisters, literally and metaphorically. Typically Gemini Season stimulates our social circles and often opens up opportunities to connect. We can expect these themes to be supercharged in nature thanks to a Jupiter trine to powerful Pluto right off the bat! On a personal note, with Venus currently in Gemini and her cosmic counterpart Mars moving into Taurus this month, there is a flirty undertone to our interactions.
As we move into the second half of June the frenetic frenzy calls for reconciliation as Venus and Mercury reach the 29th° of Gemini and create squares to Neptune at 29° of Pisces. This is the karmic completion degree receiving the clarity of Jupiter's presence. A long-running mindset regarding romance and resources reaches a permanent ending. We now have the potential to see beyond the veil of illusory or self-deluding ideologies regarding abundance in these areas. On the 17th, Mercury and Venus become congruent in the Cardinal Water sign of Cancer. Additionally, on the 20th the Sun ingresses into the emotional waters of Lady Luna. An excellent time to tap into or discover our conscious ability to communicate more compassionately with people, especially our inner circle.
The Sun initiating Cancer Season coincides with Solstice (Summer solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere), the midpoint and longest day of the year. A much-needed lengthy and soothing Cancerian softness illuminating our emotional truths!! The day after, the Capricorn Full Moon occurs opposite the Sun. We will also have a Capricorn Full Moon in July. Both occur on the 21st with this month at 1°, and next month at the anaretic 29° mark. What is culminating in the houses Capricorn occupies in your chart? These are certainly precursors to the Pluto retrograde in Capricorn three months from now.
June comes to a close as stoic Saturn stations retrograde in Pisces. This offers an echoing theme of fact-checking the viability of our visions. Is there a skill we must master to see our dreams come true? This month is an excellent time to read, learn, and explore our mental capabilities. We could discover something we would have never considered that could potentially pave the path to long-term stability. Mars moving into Taurus this month also works to stabilize our actions as we move towards abundant self-sustainability in our own way. "Slow and steady wins the race."
There is so very much happening so fast this month. I will be breaking down the individual transits and aspects in detail as we move along. As always, with matters of the mind, discernment is key. And that is provided by accessing the higher self through the lens of Jupiter.
