JANUARY 2024 Astrological Events

Happy New Calendar Year! January carries us out of the retrograde filled ending of 2023 and ushers us into the radical changes packed with possibilities in 2024. The fog is finally lifting allowing us to gain more ground as we pursue of our personal goals. Both Mercury and Uranus will be leaving their retrograde by the end of the month allowing us to have a conscious awareness of new big picture plans. Then we will have a couple of retrograde free months months to support forward momentum.

The solid concentration of Capricorn season sets the stage for the work ahead. Personal planets Mercury, Mars, and then Venus will join the Sun creating a Capricorn brigade through the 20th. At which point we can potentially be more prepared for the stellar Aquarius season initiated by a rare Sun/Pluto Cazimi at the (anaretic) 29° mark of stoic Capricorn. The karmic degree of completion. Out with the old, in with the new! As Pluto ingresses back into Aquarius to usher humanity into a new age, it feels reminiscent of moving from the Flintstones to the Jetsons!

We will have two powerful lunations occurring in January. The first New Moon of the year at 20° of Capricorn will square the lunar nodes adding a serious mindset for manifesting new goals, contingent on our ability to let the confines of past programming dissolve. A powerful Full Moon at 5° of Leo, stokes the fires of our personal sovereign power. The luminaries will create a t-square to expansive Jupiter, and receive transformative support from Pluto. These powerful aspects echo the self-actualization themes of the current Aries North Node transit, all serving to support a more authentic presentation of self moving into 2024.
